Safe-Guard (fenbendazole) Canine Dewormer is the only over-the-counter dewormer for dogs that treats all 4 major intestinal parasites, including Roundworms, Hookworms, Whipworms, and Taenia Tapeworms, using a single drug compound, fenbendazole, thereby minimizing your dog's chemical exposure. The product is intended for the treatment and control of these parasites in dogs.

The recommended daily dose for Safe-Guard Canine is 50 mg/kg (22.7 mg/lb) of body weight. Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism. Approximately 1% of dogs experienced vomiting associated with the use of this product. Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer has no known interactions.

To administer the medication, mix the daily dose with a small amount of your dog's usual food, ensuring that your dog consumes the entire medicated portion. If feeding dry dog food, it may need to be moistened to aid mixing.

The treatment regimen requires repeating the daily dose for 3 consecutive days. Each packet contains the appropriate daily dose based on your dog's size. If your dog's weight falls between the suggested dosing sizes, it is safe to use the next higher size. For example, a 15-lb dog should be treated with the 2-gm packet.

Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer is safe for use in all dogs 6 weeks and older, including pregnant dogs. However, deworming schedules may vary depending on the climate where you live and the activity of your dog.

It is important to store the product at a controlled room temperature between 68-77°F. Consult your veterinarian for further guidance on the appropriate deworming protocol for your dog.
